No notification of route changes

I was out yesterday on a route I've ridden before. At one point I was surprised by an instruction to make an unexpected turn. It appears that the app changed the planned route. I don't know why, perhaps due to traffic or road closer. I don't know if the route was changed when I started the route or at sometime during the route. My concern is that I was never advised about the route being changed. If MRA decides to revise a route it should provide a notification to the user. Perhaps with an option to cancel the revised route.
