App theme day/night - auto?

Hi,

when I look at the app settings under my account on my iPhone, for the app theme I see phone, day and night mode.
However, at the CarPlay settings screen I just have day and night, so no auto setting.

Can somebody please explain why the phone (auto) option is not available at CarPlay?

Also I see conflicts, when I set the theme to day or night at the map style, it can not be changed via the account settings "App-Theme" and I get a message that the map style is not allowing a change because of the settings. To me either it should not make any difference where I want to make changes to the theme, it should just allow the change rather the warning.
If you see this differently, then I ask - why do we have multiple places to make "App theme" changes? I see this as a duplicate places. The setting then, should just be available at one place where it makes most sense. The way right now is confusing and when at the wrong place you start searching where you can change the theme.

Long story short:

• User can choose a dark / light (or system based) app theme => these are just the colours of the app itself
• User can choose a dark / light (or automatic) map style => the brightness of the map where automatic turns to dark when driving in tunnels or at night
• When the map is dark, the app must be dark because the ugliness can otherwise not be described. When the map is light the app can be dark because that's then just how the user prefers the UI to look
