GPX1.1 Export Issue

When I select a route to download, then export using the gpx 1.1 file format, the exported file is not a .gpx file, it's .mra file extension. As such my destination app (BMW Connected) is unable to see the file to import it.
However when I select to download and export in gpx 1.2 file type, it works correctly.
(This is using the IOS (Apple) version 4.3.0 - 328 of the app)
