    Re: The MyRoute-App where is the functionality of Navigation route record?

    Back in June last year I asked when Free-driving would be incorporated into Navigation Next and told it's on the list. Since then the old Navigation has stopped working so I am forced to use Navigation Next. 😞

    Yes I know I have Track Log! The thing I miss most is NAME OF CURRENT ROAD at top.
    It was also nice to have the speed limit at the bottom.
    I have seen lots of big changes but?
    Why was old Navigation disabled if you are not read with the replacement? When I go in the timer just spins. By the way I paid for Lifetime use of Navigation!

      @Daryl-Saunders-Qld-Australia

      Navigation Next is the replacement for MRA Navigation. The platform that MRA Navigation ran on is no longer supported by Here. And yes, there are still plenty of issues on the list, these issues will be addressed in due course

        Free drive is still on the list but priorities are elsewhere 🙂

        @Hans-van-de-Ven-MR-MRA wouldn’t say this is an issue at all or state that there are many left. Most issues regard Android Auto and some audio stability. Not having free drive is a choice as more users prefer the features we release (such as the new in-app planner) rather than free drive. Navigation Next is a perfect replacement for the old app already 🙂

        If you just enter your destination, I’m sure you’ll be blown away and the current road name is displayed on the bottom 😉

            @Peter-Schiefer Free drive is a term that I think Corjan used when I asked this question in June 2023. It's where you go on a ride you either don't have a plan or you are following someone and want street names for roads you are traveling. The old Navigation did this really well!
            @Corjan-Meijerink I will try your suggestion on my next ride and I presume I will have to mute the speaker to ignore the navigation instructions. I totally understand the voting system for features and I am mainly trying to get more votes for updating free drive!
            Thanks for your reply. 🙂

              @Peter-Schiefer Firstly, I want MRA to be my only navigation tool and my phone my only device. NO Garmin, TomTom etc. No map updates to buy from companies who don't listen to users!

              I want MRA to be my only navigation tool.

              One of the special things about MRA Navigation was that I didn't have to be navigating to a destination to keep the map and my position on the screen. For example Google Maps if you don't set a destination the screen logs out /goes blank.

              Sounds like you only travel in areas you know. I on the other hand, go on rides with different groups to learn roads for good rides. It a pain to look at the trip log when I get home and try and associate the road characteristics with the road name. I want to associate them in real-time. 🙂

                @Daryl-Saunders-Qld-Australia no worries! Happy to reply 🙂

                And indeed, just enter your destination, select fastest road, mute instructions and you’re practically free driving only with the directions to where you are heading anyway 😉 Convenient right? 😃
