App Absturz mit BT Remotek One

Hallo Next Team,

nach Rückmeldung von Dag Jenssen ist es ein MyRoute-App Problem, wäre schön wenn es von Euch im Next Team geklärt werden könnte.

Der App Absturz in Verbindung mit einer zuvor gekoppelten BT Remotek One Tastatur ist immer wieder unschön. Kein stabiles Verhalten innerhalb der MyRoute-App Anwendung mehr möglich!!

Koppelt man die BT Remotek One erst dann wenn man schon Navigiert dann geht es in der Navigation ohne Absturz aber es sind nicht alle Funktionen möglich.

Zu den Funktionen schreibe ich eine eigene Meldung da es mit den internen Eingabeeinstellungen der MyRoute-App mehrere Unterschiedliche Verhalten gibt.

I have also seen that the MRA crashes, but it it is not the remote controller that is the problem. The remote is just an external keyboard and only sends characters and other normal keyboard commands. If it crashes when it is connected to an external keyboard or controller, thenI suspect it´s a problem within MRA.

To your question:

The green LED does not flash when entering the buttons, could this be a sign of a low battery? I only got the Remotek One (RT 286) new since 13.6.2024 but I'm getting a new CR2450 battery as a precaution.

Switching between Android (2x green LED) and iOS (1x red, 1x green) seems to be possible, while the LED flashes as described.

The behavior in MyRoute app is not complete, and the app crashes if you have previously paired the Remotek One via Bluetooth. I have to test this again with a new battery.

auch hier Sorry, aber das ist schon blöde wenn die App immer ständig baden geht, heißt immer wieder abstürzt.

Ist hier ein Update in Aussicht oder wie könnte es damit zur Lösung des Problems weiter gehen damit kein Absturz mehr erfolgt.

Auch hier würde ich und weitere User sich über eine kurze Rückmeldung freuen.

Leider immer wieder ein Absturz, nur beim reiner Navigieren geht es ohne Probleme.

Bin begeistert wie es mit der Remotek One beim „+/- Zoomen“ bei der reinen Navigation geht ️

Absturz: 25.6.24

• immer wieder nur dann wenn die Bluetooth Kopplung außerhalb der Navigation aktiv ist.

• Bluetooth Ein, MyRoute-App starten, selbst dann kommt man gar nicht in die Navigation es stürzt irgendwie ab, an unterschiedlichen Stellen.

• Bluetooth Ein, beim verlassen der Navigation führt direkt zum Absturz s. Bild

I think that bold statement is premature. Many users use "just external keyboards" like BarButtons, SilverFox or Carpe Iter controllers, which do not show this problem.

Maybe it is a wise idea to get a Bluetooth PC keyboard to simulate the problem with it. Also it could help to simulate the problem on a different phone. It could well be a problem in your OS. It is too easy to play the ball to MRA, when you are the only one having this problem.

@Con-Hennekens : Hängt es vielleicht mit dem Betriebssystem zusammen und der Funktion in der MyRoute-App da kaum jemand zur Zeit eine iOS Lösung anbietet bzw. nutzt.

Ich kann es an meinen zwei iPhone Xr und an meinem iPad 9. Generation jederzeit vorführen das Verhalten ist immer gleich ..

• iPhone Xr iOS 17.5.1
• iPad 9. Generation mit iOS 17.5.1

Hat das MyRoute Next Team wohl die Möglichkeit es zu testen

Zur Info: Test der Remotek One in Apps

• Test mit Guru Maps, dort gehen alle Funktionen inkl. Zentrieren alles ohne Absturz auch außerhalb der Navigation

• Test MyRoute-App stürzt außerhalb der Navigation ab, In der Navigation fehlt das Zentrieren

Wie soll man das als MyRoute-App User jetzt weiter handhaben. ?

Bitte helft doch dabei das die MyRoute-App auch dieses so gut und ohne Absturz erledigen kann. Da muss es doch eine Lösung geben.

Hey Corjan, I am very disappointed here about so little support.

An answer to the further procedure would be good, I find no answer very difficult, especially as an active beta tester, everything and also this is based on mutual respect.

Open clarification:

• Crash of the MyRoute app during Bluetooth pairing with the Remotek-One

Error description: on iOS

• The MyRoute app crashes if you pair the Remotek One outside before navigation.

• When leaving the navigation with the paired Remotek One, the MyRoute app crashes.

Note:

• In navigation, the Remotek One is doing very well.

A helpful answer would be good.

The Remotek One is error-free because in other apps everything works without problems.

I want to use the Remotek One with the MyRoute app and that without crashing.

Feedback on the further procedure would help many as some users are waiting for it. (GS Forum and LC Forum)

Eine Antwort zum weiteren vorgehen wäre gut, keine Antwort finde ich sehr schwierig, gerade als aktiver Beta Tester beruht alles und auch dieses auf gegenseitigen Respekt.

Offene Klärung:

• Absturz der MyRoute App bei der Bluetooth Kopplung mit der Remotek-One

Fehlerbeschreibung: unter iOS

• Die MyRoute App stürzt ab wenn man außerhalb also vor der Navigation schon die Remotek One koppelt.

• Beim verlassen der Navigation mit gekoppelter Remotek One stürzt die MyRoute App ab.

Hinweis:

• In der Navigation geht es mit der Remotek One sehr sehr gut.

Eine hilfreiche Antwort wäre gut.

Die Remotek One ist fehlerfrei denn in anderen App‘s geht alles ohne Probleme.

Ich möchte die Remotek One mit der MyRoute App verwenden und das ohne Absturz.

Eine Rückmeldung zum weiteren Vorgehen würde vielen helfen da doch einige Anwender darauf warten. (GS-Forum und LC-Forum)

@Hubert-Thoring I am sorry you are disappointed.

The issue is that other users that have the Remotek One, don't have the issue (as they also mentioned in one of your other threads). The Remotek One I have lying around here, also works flawlessly!

So I am very uncertain where the issue comes from exactly and we simply don't have the manpower to investigate such a small (yet annoying) issue for a single user into more detail.

We value your feedback as beta tester a lot but that is completely something else compared to this issue

@Hubert-Thoring Yes, we have multiple users (including myself) for which the Remotek-One works on iOS.

I do recall you sharing that Dag Jenssen also encountered a crash but then it could still be related to that device version. The manpower argument from our side also still stands We simply, but unfortunately, cannot allocate all the resources when one user mentions an issue.

What device ID does your Remotek-One have? The ID is displayed when pairing in Bluetooth.
