hi Nick thanks for you help, If you look around the forum you will see many post's saying the issue does no exist on ios only on android but there has been a notice posted on the main web page that there is indeed a problem for android users . thanks for your help Dave .

@Drabslab @StefanHummelink Hopefully it is not just in Google’s control and MRA can do something. I agree that it spout.d be really handy. Good suggestion.
@Spili hmmmm your researched yielded some very interesting results.
Surprisingly I have found to have no problems at all on T-Mobile network... I have two sim cards in my phone and switching between both of them (T-Mobile and Vodafone) does not seem to yield different MRA Navigation behaviour. Hmmm. Maybe it's country related?

You can make your starting point a favorite, so you can select this from the menu on the left site.
Create a folder where you store the routes
Create a new route using start date and time
Use via-points where you want to stop ( if you are using MRA Navigation or a Zumo XT)
Use pause timing so the total duration of your route is calculated
