Here Terrain maps style

Hello @corjan-meijerink,
Up until now, the roads on Here, TomTom and OSM haven’t always lined up exactly. How can you now check whether a waypoint on the Here map lies on the road, given that Here and TomTom overlays are no longer available?

The route line was and is always the truth.
No need to fully zoom in anymore as we even place the waypoints exactly on the route line for you

OpenStreetMap is there

Rest are currently not scheduled for reappearance.
It's getting used to a new look but very premium / nice maps anyway.
But feedback on that is definitely what beta is for too.

That's a miss I think, is there a satellite map that also has road numbers on it available? If not I would end up needing google maps open as well. Changing from pastel to outdoor or whatever, is a pointless feature.

The loss of Google Maps Hybrid and Sat. is a big downgrade in my opinion.
I do like that street view is still there (but the window needs to be resizable).

Not true. I experience this in my own village even. The map is correct, but the line is not. (There is a kink in the road and the route makes it a straight line, instead of following the road as it is)....

No, that’s still possible; it’s just in a different place.

I am voting for (some) additional map layers, for me at least google maps. A few test in the past hour , triggered me on missing information

That is verry disapointing! Sorry, OpenTopo Map, Google and Michelin, best for planing. Please bring them back.

100% need Google maps and all the other layers that have disappeared. I don't need to see it in black, ideally they should be a more detailed Michelin map or a layer of scenic roots or even a layer which gets rid of all the motorways etc so you literally just can see the best roads for biking

Google maps is important and losing it would seriously degrade MRA’s usability.

For example:

• with Google Maps we can see commercial businesses (cafes museums shops etc etc) that OSM may not catch
• Google Maps is the defacto standard outside MRA and that layer provides significant comfort for newcomers
• quite often we are looking for places with Google side by side - eg copying someone’s route - and it helps to have the two using identical layers

That's a real shame. I always used the Google Maps overlay. I would also try different layers as they all showed different types of information that could be useful when planning trips.

Plus 1 for Googe Maps. It's not just familiarity and resistance to change. It simply has more information.
