MRA My Route - which licenses are required?
-
hello forum friends,
As a friend of all navigation systems and a traditional Tomtom Go user, I wanted to try out my route. I'm going on a big tour of Sicily with a friend in May on the Vespa. Sharing routes is quite tedious with Tomtom, I wanted to see if that was possible Because it could be easier... but it's not really clear to me whether I really need two licenses for myroute, once for the web version (basic, silver, gold) and once for the app (next).. or is one license enough for me for the app. Of course I would like to be able to plan and transfer on the PC, but that doesn't have to be the case because we're on tour anyway...
Can you help me.
Is the license enough for the app and is it any good?
Greetings from East Westphalia
Klaus

@willkomm2000 I'm not clear on what you want to do. If you simply want to create routes and share with someone, it's very easy if both of you at least sign up for the free account on MyRouteApp.com That will allow you to create routes and share them within the MyRoute framework.
If you want to use the routes on your Tomtom then you should subscribe to GOLD for the web planner. That will allow you to plan routes using the Tomtom maps and algorithms.
If you want to use the wonderful MyRoute-app for navigation, then you will have to subscribe / purchase a license for the App to do navigation. In this case you may not require the GOLD subscription as the navigation license for MyRoute-app will give your planner access to the HERE maps for planning. In any case it's well worth the time to review some of the training videos available on Facebook or YouTube. Reviewing the user manual is also well worth the time. These are complex apps and it takes time to learn.

@willkomm2000 In addition, if you only subscribe to the navigation module, you will miss out on all the great tools the website offers for creating routes (overlay maps and other tools from the toolkit menu).
But for sure, it's a great platform! -

hello retired wingman,
Thanks for your answer. First and foremost, I would like to try out the app. because we only have our smartphone with us when we travel. Of course I would also like to try out how the connection with the web planning tool works...
