gpx file shared via airdrop
-
Hi,
A friend shared a gpx file with me via airdrop, which I can share into the MRA App on my phone.
The gpx file was a track (I presume) that we rode that day and was shared with me - it was a decent route on unfamiliar roads and worth riding again.
My question is, while I can see the route on my phone via Account / Downloads, how do I save the route / track (I'll be guided here as to whether it is a route or a track) to 'my routes'?Thank you.

@Chris-Capewell Is that friend also a Routelab user? If so, the easiest method is to accept him as a friend within Routelab. You can then use the intended route directly in navigation from his route and track files. Otherwise, you need to first import the track into Routelab (the website) and convert it into a route or save the track itself.

@Rob-Verhoeff Hi Rob.
The friend isn't a MRA user, in fact, he doesn't even have a GPS device on his bike..
The file was captured on the tracker (which records journeys, too) fitted to his bike.So, if I have this right, I need to save the file from the phone to somewhere that I may access it from my desktop, and then import it to the browser version - which I cannot do on my phone??

@Chris-Capewell
If you can access the storage location on your phone from RouteLab (the website) on your phone, then I think that should work as well. I haven't tried that yet. But it definitely works via a desktop. After that, you can access the route or track through your account on the phone. -
@Rob-Verhoeff Thank you.
I will have a play and see if it works.Merry Christmas.
