But for me, the exact reason doesn't matter. The Carplay/AndroidAuto isn't a solution for me. It's simply on more source for problems I don't need during a ride/drive. If others are happy with - fine for them.

The question was asked quite a while ago and that was the explanation that Corjan gave. There has been no change to this as far as I know.

That's the reason I don't use CarPlay/AndoidAuto!

On Website, I can move the map by mouse left click and hold.
On mobile device I can move the map by using my fingers, swipe on the screen.
