<![CDATA[Romania Transalpina and Transfagarasan - season 2026 opening]]>Hi.
We are planning a trip to Romania in two/three weeks time to visit the famous Transalpina and Transfagarasan mountain roads, but for now the only info about season opening is the official opening date July 1st.

Does anybody have any information, inside tips or anything relevant about when the season of 2026 should open?

So, the bad news is that Transfagarasan is still closed for now, but it should be opened in the next two weeks. You can check the live cam from time to time: https://www.roxy-world.ro/webcam-transfagarasan
Good news is that Transalpina was opened about 5 days ago, some of my friends went there already and confirmed this.
